AI inboxes need clear emails and Google clarifies which pages belong in Search

Publishing more is the wrong AI strategy right now. The advantage lies in customer information an agent can actually use. Three publications from October 26 show where.

How do I keep my emails readable for an AI inbox?

On October 26, Braze published advice on emails that AI sorts and summarizes. Deliverability specialist Mike Auldredge writes: “Keep CTAs single and clear”.

His advice: avoid putting offers and buttons exclusively inside images, and avoid competing offers in one email. My take: whoever summarizes your message needs to identify your offer and its relevance. Braze sells marketing software; this is vendor guidance, rather than a new inbox rule or evidence of additional revenue.

Marketing OS learns: put the offer and one desired next step in readable text in every campaign email, including those with images.

How do I turn a customer visit into a useful follow-up?

On October 26, Map My Customers described its AI Field Agent, which the vendor says is in beta. A sales rep dictates what was discussed after a visit. The software produces structured notes and a draft email for the rep to review and send.

The vendor warns about incomplete records: “AI models inherit those gaps”. You promise something on Tuesday, then try to recall the details on Friday. Map My Customers sells this software; I have not tested the beta.

Marketing OS learns: record both the conversation date and capture date in sales notes, and build follow-ups from commitments recorded immediately afterward.

Should every shared AI page appear in Google?

On October 26, Google updated its guidance on preventing user-generated spam. It now explicitly includes tools that let users publish shared pages, generated content, and web apps. A new section says: “Only index content meant for Search”.

The distinction: public discovery or access through a direct link. This is a documentation update, rather than an announced algorithm change. My application: a shared campaign draft does not need to become a search result.

Marketing OS learns: decide whether each shared draft page is intended for public discovery, and have pages for direct collaboration kept out of the search index.

Where are we heading?

Map My Customers now describes a beta that turns spoken visit notes into a follow-up draft (source); so I expect customer conversations to feed marketing and sales much more directly within two years. Within five years, I expect agents on both sides of a business purchase to compare that information with what a company actually delivers. Marketing moves closer to the offer itself: understanding customer needs, improving the product, and communicating its value clearly.

What does this mean for you?

At Poldermarketing, I connect marketing with AI agents and AI automations: making customer information useful, running campaigns, and learning from responses. One concrete marketing task is the starting point. What it produces determines the next step, with your approval before anything is published.
