Startup SEO for a new website

Startup SEO for a new website means one page per question buyers type, in English and in Dutch, so the site can be found on Google and in AI answers. It is for founders with a product and the first customers. You get a page plan, the pages and the setup for both languages. I do not promise rankings.

Who is this for?

This is for a founder with a new website who is still the person doing the marketing. The product is real and the first customers are in, or close to buying, but the site is hard to find and it does not say in one read who it is for.

If you sell in English and in Dutch, both languages are part of the work, and each page is written for the searches in that language.

What's involved?

Startup SEO for a new website is a page plan per language, pages that answer the query, and a short technical list for the person building the site. I do not use tricks to push a new domain up the results.

  • Find the questions buyers actually type, separately in English and in Dutch. An English page that repeats the Dutch wording still misses the English search.
  • A page plan: one page per question, so two pages are not competing for the same query.
  • Write the pages. The top of each page is a short answer that still makes sense if it is quoted on its own.
  • Technical notes for whoever builds the site: titles, structured data (a small piece of code that says what the company is), hreflang (the mark that tells Google which page belongs to which language) and a sitemap (the list of pages you hand to search engines).
  • Read Search Console after the pages are live. That is Google's report of the searches where the site was shown. A new domain moves slowly, and I will not pretend otherwise.

What you get

You get a page plan with the searches per language and the pages we agree after the intro call, written and checked. With that comes a short technical list for whoever builds the site.

What I need from you

I need to know who you sell to, and whether that is in English, in Dutch, or in both. I need access to the site, or a developer who can apply the technical list. I also need a plain account of what you sell and what you do not sell, so two pages cannot contradict each other.

Timing

We agree on timing after the intro call.

What is not included

  • A guaranteed ranking. Nobody can honestly give that.
  • Deciding the message from scratch if it does not exist yet. That is positioning and messaging.
  • A separate check of whether ChatGPT names you. That is getting cited in ChatGPT. A clear page helps both.
  • Running an advertising budget.
  • An open-ended blog. Which pages we write, we agree after the intro call.
  • Rebuilding the site.

When you don't need this

You do not need this if you need enquiries within the month. SEO on a new website takes time.

You also do not need it if the site only has to work for people who already know you. If you want a senior strategist to run a team, I am the wrong fit. I am one person.

How I work

You work directly with me, Piet Baudoin: one person, not an agency, fully remote. AI agents search and draft in my Marketing OS, which is my way of working and not a product, and nothing is published without my approval.

Each page is checked for facts, readability and the technical points, by a second AI agent, before you see it. Read more about how I work. The free growth scan reads your homepage and shows what is in place and what could be better.

Questions people ask

How long before SEO works on a new website?

Startup SEO on a new website takes time. I will not name a date for when Google sends visitors. What I do deliver is pages that answer the buyer's question, and technical setup that is in order.

Can you guarantee a place on the first page?

No. Nobody can honestly promise that. I can make each page answer the buyer's question, and I can check the titles, the code that says what the company is, the mark that tells Google which page belongs to which language, and the sitemap.

Do you write the Dutch pages too?

Yes. Dutch is part of the work, not a later extra. Dutch pages follow Dutch searches, English pages follow English searches, and I mark which page belongs to which language. Neither page is a translation of the other.

How much does it cost?

Rate on request. After the intro call you get a proposal that says what you get. We agree on timing then.

How is this different from being cited in ChatGPT?

SEO is about being found on Google. Being cited in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews is a related piece of work, and a clear page helps both.

The free growth scan

The free growth scan reads your homepage and shows what works and what could be better. Rather talk first? That works too.
